My Bio
I am a by accident photographer. A few of my friends and family were really into it, and I just tagged along. Eventually, I fell in love with this artform, bought my own camera and the rest is, as they say, history. I enjoy all forms of photography, but am extremely drawn to nature photography. I love being able to sit and wait, and all of a sudden, there's your shot. There is so much beauty in this world, and I still find it amazing that I am able to capture a small bit of it with every picture I take.

Today has, all in all, been a rather odd day for me.
A day of conflicting emotions and warring thoughts.
And I found that even amidst my inner turmoil, I couldn't help but notice the shape of the Bleeding Hearts in the garden. Not the color, or the size, or the sheer amount of them. I started looking at the lines and curves in each individual blossom, one by one, and just letting my mind wander.
What I came up with wasn't the answer I was looking for.
What I came up with was a question.
Why?
Why are people always waiting for that big, spectacular moment? That stop you in your tracks moment of pure magic that everyone seems to talk about

Generally I refrain from posting anything even remotely approaching rant-like, but tonight this topic needs its 15 minutes of fame.
-begin rant-
I truly, very much dislike those artists who exhibit a vastly enlarged superiority complex. It is those artists, the ones who continually put down people trying to improve their skills, that really upset me. We should be encouraging the effort, applauding the time and energy they have put into creating something beautiful! Not tearing them down, and then stating about how much better you are.
Constructive critique is one thing, it is a helpful tool and greatly appreciated by much of the art world.

Alrighty then, I shall start this by sayin' HAPPY 2011 all!! Do you guys have a New Year's resolution? I know I certainly do! I want to improve on a few different styles of photography! I cannot wait to see what this year brings, creatively, as well as in other areas of life! Last year was full of growth for me artistically, and I am looking forward to what this coming year has in store for us all!!
Unfortunately... I think that I am starting this year in a rather... uninspired way. I think the winter 'blahs' have set in, and I just cannot seem to find my creativity for the life of me. If any of you have seen my muse, tell 'em that I miss 'e
